Physical Properties:Light yellow or milky white pellets, non-crystalline resin, density approximately 1.04-1.06 g/cm³. It has excellent comprehensive physical and mechanical properties, high impact strength, good low-temperature impact resistance, good dimensional stability, good electrical, wear-resistant, chemical-resistant and dyeing properties. It is resistant to water, inorganic salts, alkalis and acids, insoluble in most alcohols and hydrocarbon solvents, but readily soluble in aldehydes, ketones, esters and certain chlorinated hydrocarbons. Low water absorption, less than 1% after one year of immersion in water at room temperature; most grades are non-toxic, impermeable to water but slightly permeable to water vapor. Melting temperature 217-237°C, thermal decomposition temperature above 250°C. Low heat distortion temperature, flammable, poor weather resistance.
Uses:ABS is an extremely versatile thermoplastic engineering plastic, widely used in machinery, automotive, electronics and electrical appliances, instrumentation, textiles, construction and other industrial fields. It is suitable for general mechanical parts, wear-reducing and friction-resistant parts, transmission parts and telecommunication parts. It can also be made into two-color plastic parts and can be chrome-plated or painted.
