Physical Properties:Cream-white or yellowish granules, odorless and tasteless; combines the chemical resistance of acrylonitrile, the toughness of butadiene, and the gloss and processability of styrene, with excellent impact resistance, electrical insulation and dimensional stability. The flame-retardant grade has a density of about 1.18 g/cm³, is stable to most solvents, but may dissolve in ketones and some chlorinated solvents.
Uses:Used as flame-retardant engineering plastic for injection molding of electronic/electrical housings, junction boxes, charger shells, home appliance parts, and automotive interior components. It offers good processability, low mold shrinkage and excellent dimensional stability.
