Uses:It is used for the determination of sulfur dioxide residues in food, water, and traditional Chinese medicines. The sample is treated by distillation; sulfites in the sample are converted to sulfur dioxide after acid addition, then carried by a nitrogen flow into an absorption bottle containing hydrogen peroxide, where it is oxidized to sulfate ions.
