Physical Properties:Semi-crystalline melt-processable fluoropolymer produced by copolymerization of ethylene and chlorotrifluoroethylene, offering outstanding chemical and thermal stability. It has a density of approximately 1.68 g/cm³, a melting point of about 240°C, and a service temperature range from low temperatures up to 150°C. It withstands environments from pH 1 to 14 and provides an excellent permeation barrier to chemicals, effectively preventing corrosion of metal substrates. It is practically insoluble in most organic solvents. Its surface is hard, abrasion-resistant, scratch-resistant, and smooth, reducing fouling by particles and salts while maintaining strong adhesion to substrates.
Uses:Widely used in high-purity and corrosion-resistant systems in chemical processing, pulp and paper, power generation, food processing, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries. It is also applied as an anti-corrosion permeation barrier coating on metal substrates in demanding fields such as aerospace and semiconductors.
