- HIPS是聚苯乙烯(PS)的改性材料，分子中含有5-15%橡胶成分，韧性比PS提高约四倍，冲击强度大大提高，具有PS成型加工性和着色力强的优点。制品为不透明，吸水性低，加工时可不需预先干燥。随着冲击强度的提高，拉伸强度和透明性下降；添加增塑剂可调节熔体指数但热挠曲温度降低。耐化学性和电性能优良。注塑加工温度一般为190-240℃，因橡胶成分影响流动性，注射压力和成型温度宜高一些，冷却速度比PS慢，需足够的保压压力和时间。密度约1.05 g/cm³，热变形温度约82℃，维卡软化点约98℃。

Physical Properties:HIPS is a modified material of polystyrene (PS) containing 5-15% rubber components in the molecule. Its toughness is about four times that of PS, with greatly improved impact strength. It retains the advantages of PS in ease of processing and strong coloring. The product is opaque and has low water absorption, so pre-drying is not required during processing. As impact strength increases, tensile strength and transparency decrease; adding plasticizers can adjust the melt index but lowers the heat deflection temperature. It has excellent chemical resistance and electrical properties. Injection molding temperature is generally 190-240°C. Due to the rubber components affecting fluidity, higher injection pressure and molding temperature are recommended, and the cooling rate is slower than PS, requiring sufficient holding pressure and time. Density is about 1.05 g/cm³, heat deflection temperature is about 82°C, and Vicat softening point is about 98°C.
Uses:Mainly used as packaging materials for food, cosmetics, daily necessities, mechanical instruments and stationery; also used for housings of household appliances, electrical accessories, buttons, etc. Typical applications include TV cabinets, recorder frames, humidifiers, typewriter bodies, sporting goods, computer keyboards, mice and other office supplies.
