Physical Properties:Appearance is amber or transparent pellets; lightweight, non-toxic, density 1.06-1.08 g/cm³, melting point 268°C, decomposition tendency when heated to 330°C. Good heat resistance with heat deflection temperature up to 190°C; good flame retardancy with self-extinguishing property, moderately flammable when blended with HIPS. Poor light resistance, discoloration after prolonged sunlight exposure. Excellent electrical insulation, good water resistance, low water absorption; insoluble in water, soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Uses:Suitable for making heat-resistant parts, insulation parts, wear-reducing parts, transmission parts, medical and electronic components. It can replace stainless steel for gears, fan blades, valves and other parts used at elevated temperatures. Widely used in electronic appliances, automotive, home appliances, office equipment and industrial machinery, such as automobile instrument panels, radiator grilles, connectors, relay boxes, transformer parts, TV tuner strips, microwave insulation parts, etc. Also used for corrosion-resistant parts like pipes, valves, filter discs and submersible pumps, as well as medical devices and food-industry instruments.
