Physical Properties:Transparent and light in appearance. Produced by polymerization of propylene, it can withstand high-pressure steam sterilization and has good mechanical properties, chemical stability, and physiological degradability. Resistant to gamma irradiation and electron beam sterilization, with anti-yellowing and anti-embrittlement properties; withstands high-temperature and humid heat sterilization (121°C-123°C, 15-30min); high melt flow index for rapid molding; low adsorption effect reduces liquid adhesion; high rigidity, high impact strength, and good low-temperature impact resistance. Complies with USP CLASS VI biocompatibility requirements.
Uses:Mainly used in the manufacture of medical catheters, infusion containers, splints for flat-plate artificial kidneys, syringes and other medical supplies; its membrane, after surfactant treatment, can form hydrophilic microporous membranes for artificial lungs, and its fibers can be used as blood defoaming filters in bubble oxygenators, abdominal wall repair patches, surgical sutures, etc.
