- 聚丙烯是通用塑料中最轻的品种之一，密度为0.90~0.91 g/cm³。具有优良的机械性能、耐热性能、电绝缘性能和化学稳定性，使用温度范围为-30~140℃。几乎不吸水，与大多数化学品接触不发生作用，但遇发烟硫酸、发烟硝酸、铬酸溶液、卤素、苯、四氯化碳、氯仿等会发生腐蚀。耐低温冲击性较差，较易老化，可通过改性和添加抗氧剂予以改善。

Physical Properties:Polypropylene is one of the lightest general-purpose plastics, with a density of 0.90~0.91 g/cm³. It exhibits excellent mechanical properties, heat resistance, electrical insulation and chemical stability, and can be used over a temperature range of -30~140°C. It absorbs almost no water and is inert to most chemicals, but is corroded by fuming sulfuric acid, fuming nitric acid, chromic acid solutions, halogens, benzene, carbon tetrachloride and chloroform. Its low-temperature impact resistance is poor and it is prone to aging, which can be improved through modification and the addition of antioxidants.
Uses:Polypropylene is widely used in injection-molded products, accounting for about half of its applications. General-purpose PP is used for daily necessities, while reinforced or toughened PP is used for automotive parts. In the automotive field, toughened PP is used for bumpers and wheel covers, while reinforced PP is used for instrument panels, steering wheels, handles, containers and battery casings. In daily necessities and electrical appliances, it is commonly used for hangers, chairs, buckets, basins, toys, turnover boxes, washing machine tubs, TV housings, fan blades and refrigerator liners.
