Physical Properties:Polycarbonate is a colorless to slightly yellow transparent thermoplastic resin with a density of 1.18~1.22 g/cm³, refractive index of about 1.585, and glass transition temperature of about 150°C. It exhibits excellent impact resistance, heat resistance, and electrical insulation, and can be used over a long period in the range of -40°C to 120°C. The material is hygroscopic and must be thoroughly dried before processing with moisture content controlled below 0.02%.
Uses:This grade is a general-purpose and food-contact polycarbonate suitable for injection molding of automotive parts, pipes, transparent structural components, and food-contact articles, offering good mechanical properties, dimensional stability, and heat resistance.
Technical Specifications:
Drying: recommended drying conditions are 100~200°C for 3~4 hours, and the moisture content before processing must be less than 0.02%.
Melt temperature: 260~340°C.
Mold temperature: 70~120°C.
Injection pressure: use as high injection pressure as possible; use low injection speed for small gates and high injection speed for other types of gates.
