Physical Properties:Pure product is a pale yellow liquid, while technical grade appears dark red with a characteristic odor. Relative density is approximately 1.14, boiling point is about 128-132°C at 0.01 kPa, refractive index is 1.531. Sparingly soluble in water, readily soluble in ethanol, acetone, benzene and other organic solvents. Stable to heat and in acidic media, but decomposes in alkaline media.
Uses:A broad-spectrum organophosphorus insecticide with contact, stomach toxic and certain fumigant effects. Mainly used to control aphids, spider mites, planthoppers, leafhoppers and other pests on rice, cotton, fruit trees, vegetables and other crops, as well as for soil treatment and stored-product insect control.
