Physical Properties:PA12 is a linear, semi-crystalline to crystalline thermoplastic material derived from butadiene, with characteristics similar to PA11 but a different crystal structure. PA12 is an excellent electrical insulator and, like other polyamides, its insulating performance is not affected by moisture. It has outstanding impact resistance and chemical stability. Compared with PA6 and PA66, PA12 has a lower melting point and density, and a high moisture regain. It is not resistant to strong oxidizing acids. It exhibits good flowability, with a mold shrinkage between 0.5% and 2%. The 50% glass fiber content significantly enhances rigidity, strength, and dimensional stability.
Uses:Mainly used for manufacturing water meters and other commercial equipment, cable sheaths, mechanical cams, sliding mechanisms, bearings, etc. The glass fiber reinforcement further improves strength, making it suitable for engineering structural parts under higher loads and precision mechanical components.
