Physical Properties:Semi-crystalline thermoplastic material with high impact resistance, low friction coefficient, high ESCR (environmental stress cracking resistance) and light stability. Density approx. 1.01~1.02 g/cm³, melting point approx. 178~180°C, low moisture absorption (moisture regain approx. 0.2%~0.3%), excellent electrical insulation performance unaffected by humidity, resistant to most solvents and chemicals, but not resistant to strong oxidizing acids. Must be dried to below 0.1% moisture prior to processing; recommended drying at 85°C in hot air for 4~5 hours, or direct use after 3 hours temperature equilibration in sealed containers. Shrinkage 0.5%~2.0%.
Uses:Suitable for pipes, fittings and pneumatic applications, as well as water meters, commercial equipment, cable sheathing, mechanical cams, sliding mechanisms and bearings. PA12 elastomer offers excellent noise and vibration damping, suitable for silent gears in DVD, CD, MD, VCR, camcorders, digital cameras, printers and video recorders.
