Physical Properties:PA6 B3S is a BASF injection-molding grade polyamide 6 resin. It is a crystalline polymer with high flowability, excellent processing performance, and fuel resistance. The density is approximately 1.12~1.14 g/cm³, and the melting point is about 215~225°C, offering a wide processing temperature range. Its impact resistance and solvent resistance are better than PA66, but it has higher moisture absorption, which requires attention to the effects of moisture on dimensional stability and performance. The molding shrinkage of unreinforced PA6 is 1%~1.5%, which can be reduced to about 0.3% with glass fiber reinforcement.
Uses:This grade is suitable for thin-walled technical parts such as housings, fittings, handles, small components, and retaining clips. It is widely used in the automotive industry and electronic/electrical applications. Its overall performance can be further enhanced through glass fiber modification, mineral filling, or flame retardant additives.
