Physical Properties:PC is a non-crystalline thermoplastic resin with excellent comprehensive properties. It is transparent with a light transmittance of about 90%. It features high strength, outstanding impact resistance, good dimensional stability and electrical insulation, and a wide service temperature range (-100°C to 130°C). The mold shrinkage is low, typically 0.1%-0.2%, and the flame retardancy can reach UL94 V-0 grade. However, it has poor wear resistance, is prone to hydrolysis at high temperatures, and has moderate resistance to cracking and chemicals.
Uses:It is suitable for electronic and electrical applications such as CDs, switches, appliance housings, insulating connectors and coil bobbins. It is also used in automotive parts like bumpers, distributors and safety glass, as well as mechanical components including gears, bearings and protective covers. Additionally, it is widely applied in optical lighting (lamp covers, protective glass), medical devices (surgical instruments, medicine containers), architectural daylighting panels and daily necessities.
