Physical Properties:PC is an amorphous engineering material with particularly good impact strength, thermal stability, gloss, flame retardancy and stain resistance. It has high notched impact strength and low shrinkage (0.1%~0.2%). Light transmittance can reach 90%. It is rigid yet tough, with high dimensional stability, wide service temperature range, excellent electrical insulation, heat resistance and non-toxicity. It can be used long-term between -100℃ and 130℃, with a brittle temperature below -100℃. It has poor crack resistance and chemical resistance, is prone to hydrolysis at high temperatures, has poor compatibility with other resins and poor lubricity, but can be modified by adding other resins or inorganic fillers.
Uses:Used in optical lighting for large lampshades, protective glass and instrument eyepieces; in electronics and electrical appliances for insulating connectors, coil frames, optical discs and communication equipment; in machinery for gears, bearings, cams and other parts; in medical devices for containers, surgical instruments and artificial organs.
