Physical Properties:PC 940 is a non-crystalline thermoplastic with a density of 1.18-1.22 g/cm³ and a glass transition temperature of approximately 145-150°C. It features excellent thermal stability, high transparency (light transmittance of 88-90%), extremely high impact strength, and a wide service temperature range (-60°C to 120°C). It has poor fatigue resistance but excellent weatherability and electrical insulation properties. It is odorless, tasteless, and safe for health, with low molding shrinkage and good dimensional stability.
Uses:Used in optical lighting applications for manufacturing large lamp covers, protective glass, and eyepiece tubes of optical instruments; in electronic and electrical fields as Class E insulating material for connectors, coil frames, optical discs, and communication equipment; in mechanical equipment for gears, bearings, cams, and other transmission parts; and widely applied in medical devices, building panels, textile equipment, and daily necessities such as baby bottles and LED lamp housings.
