Physical Properties:PC/ABS 1514 is supplied as light yellow to white cylindrical pellets, as an alloy blend of polycarbonate (PC) and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS). Density is approximately 1.10-1.15 g/cm³, melt flow rate (260°C/5kg) is about 15-25 g/10min, mold shrinkage is 0.4%-0.7%, and water absorption is about 0.2%. It offers high impact strength, heat resistance and dimensional stability, with heat deflection temperature (1.82MPa) of approximately 110-125°C and Vicat softening temperature of about 120-140°C. Fluidity is better than PC, the processing window is wide, and the molded parts have good surface gloss.
Uses:It is suitable for automotive interior and exterior parts (instrument panels, trim pillars, grilles, lamp housings, etc.), electronic and electrical housings (computers, copiers, printers, monitors, etc.), communication equipment (mobile phone casings, SIM cards, etc.) and household appliances (washing machines, hair dryers, microwave ovens, etc.). Grade 1514 is suitable for general injection molding and can also be used for thin-wall long-flow parts, replacing PC to reduce cost and improve processability.
