Physical Properties:PC/ABS is a blend of polycarbonate and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer, supplied as pellets. Density ranges from 1.05 to 1.20 g/cm³. It combines the heat resistance and mechanical properties of PC with the processability of ABS. The material enhances the heat resistance and dimensional stability of ABS, improves the low-temperature impact resistance and thick-wall impact toughness of PC, and lowers material cost. It is hygroscopic and should be dried thoroughly before processing.
Uses:This material is widely used in housings for computers, typewriters, cameras and other commercial machines, as well as electrical appliances, electronic components, small appliance parts, hair dryers, and connectors. It is also used in medical device components, office supplies, cosmetic containers, food trays, lawn and garden machinery, and automotive parts such as headlamp frames, tail lamp housings, instrument panels, interior trim, and wheel covers.
