Physical Properties:Polycarbonate is an amorphous polymer with a density of approximately 1.2 g/cm³ and a light transmittance of about 88%. It exhibits excellent impact resistance, toughness and creep resistance over a wide temperature range, along with good mechanical strength and dimensional stability. It performs well in weather resistance and high-temperature applications, with a service temperature range of -150°C to +120°C. It also offers outstanding electrical insulation, flame retardancy and radiation resistance, but has poor chemical resistance, is prone to scratching, and is sensitive to notches.
Uses:In the aviation, electronics and machinery industries, it is used for windshields, bulletproof glass, observation windows for instruments and meters, wiring board fixtures, models, etc.
