Physical Properties:FXD171R is a light-diffusing grade polycarbonate material, appearing translucent/milky white, with a high refractive index (approx. 1.585) and excellent light diffusion effect. It features outstanding physical properties: high impact strength, good thermal stability, high gloss, and UL94 V-0 flame retardancy without additional flame retardant additives; low molding shrinkage (0.1%~0.2%) and excellent dimensional stability; long-term service temperature range of -100°C to 130°C, brittleness temperature below -100°C, and good electrical insulation. Note that the material has poor abrasion resistance and is prone to hydrolysis under high temperature and high humidity conditions.
Uses:Mainly used for lamp covers of LED lighting, light diffusion plates, light boxes, light guide plates, and electronic appliance housings, etc. It can be processed by injection molding or extrusion molding. It has the advantages of heat resistance, impact resistance, and flame retardancy, maintaining good mechanical properties within ordinary service temperatures.
