Physical Properties:Transparent, heat-resistant and impact-resistant, with a density of about 1.2 g/cm³, a glass transition temperature of about 150°C, a heat deflection temperature of 130-140°C, and a light transmittance of 88-90%. It exhibits good dimensional stability and electrical insulation, is soluble in chlorinated hydrocarbon solvents, and is stable to dilute acids and alkalis.
Uses:Used in electronic and electrical fields for housings, laptop casings and LED lighting; in the automotive industry for lamp covers, dashboards and sunroofs; in medical devices for shells and transparent covers; in building materials for daylighting panels and noise barriers; and in consumer goods such as water bottles, baby bottles and sports goggles. It can also be blended into PC/ABS, PC/PET and PC/ASA alloys to improve processability, chemical resistance and weatherability respectively.
