Physical Properties:Semi-crystalline aromatic thermoplastic engineering plastic with a density of approximately 1.26–1.32 g/cm³, a melting point of 334°C, and a glass transition temperature of approximately 143°C. It offers excellent high-temperature resistance, fatigue resistance, wear resistance, and flame retardancy, and can be used long-term in 200°C steam. The resin contains no flame retardants and the molecules contain no halogens, so combustion does not pollute the environment. Oxygen index is 24–35%, and flame rating is UL94 V-0. It dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid with yellowing, but is stable against all other solvents; insufficient crystallization may cause cracking in acetone-type solvents.
Uses:PEEK is an engineering plastic with excellent overall performance, widely used in atomic energy engineering, the electrical industry, chemical equipment, subways, mines, and oil fields. It can be used as wire and cable jacketing, Class H or Class C electrical insulation, flexible printed circuit boards, heat pump housings or frames, oil well connectors, valves, and heat-resistant or anti-corrosion coatings for metals. It can also be made into monofilaments, wrapping tapes, screens, and other products.
