Physical Properties:Supplied as granular pellets with low density (approx. 0.868 g/cm³), soft and lightweight; relatively low melting point, melt flow rate (190°C, 2.16 kg) approx. 0.5 g/10min. The molecular structure consists of soft octene chain segments with crystalline ethylene chain physical crosslinks, narrow molecular weight distribution, and no unsaturated double bonds, giving excellent toughness, elasticity, impact resistance and weather resistance. Good flowability, good compatibility with polyolefins, easy coloring; good melt strength, shear sensitivity and low shrinkage, and can be processed by various thermoplastic methods.
Uses:Mainly used as an impact modifier and toughening agent for polypropylene, polyethylene, polyamide and other plastics; in the automotive industry for bumpers, fenders, steering wheels, instrument panels and other parts; also used for insulation and jacketing of wire and cable (especially suitable for low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant compounds). Can also be processed into hoses, conveyor belts, sheeting, gaskets, shoe soles, elastic films, packaging films and products such as medical devices and toys.
