Physical Properties:Low density, narrow molecular weight distribution, excellent flowability and compatibility with polyolefins. The long side octyl groups form junction points between molecular chains, providing cushioning and stress-dispersing effects upon impact, reducing the chance of crazes developing into cracks, thereby significantly improving impact strength and elongation at break. The addition of POE increases melt flow index and improves overall processability; however, excessive content may lower tensile strength, flexural strength and flexural modulus, so recommended dosage is below 20%.
Uses:Mainly used to modify and toughen PP, PE and PA. Applied in automotive parts such as bumpers, fenders, steering wheels and pads; in wire and cable industry for insulation and jacketing requiring high heat and environmental resistance; also used in hoses, conveyor belts, coated fabrics, molded products, medical devices, household appliances, sporting goods, toys and films.
