- POM属结晶性塑料，熔点明显，达到熔点后熔体粘度迅速下降；密度约1.42 g/cm³。抗张强度、弯曲强度、耐疲劳强度、耐磨性和电性能优良，摩擦系数低，几何稳定性好；可在-40°C至100°C长期使用。超过一定温度或熔体受热时间过长会引起分解；耐强酸性差，耐候性差，粘合性差，限氧指数小。按分子链结构分为均聚甲醛和共聚甲醛，均聚物密度、结晶度和熔点较高，热稳定性稍差；共聚物热稳定性好，加工温度范围宽。

Physical Properties:POM is a crystalline plastic with a distinct melting point; melt viscosity drops rapidly once the melting point is reached. Density approx. 1.42 g/cm³. It exhibits excellent tensile strength, flexural strength, fatigue resistance, wear resistance and electrical properties, with low friction coefficient and good dimensional stability; can be used long-term at -40°C to 100°C. Decomposition may occur when the temperature exceeds a certain limit or the melt is overheated for too long. It has poor resistance to strong acids, poor weather resistance, poor adhesion and low limiting oxygen index. By molecular chain structure, POM is classified into homopolymer and copolymer; the homopolymer has higher density, crystallinity and melting point but slightly lower thermal stability, while the copolymer has better thermal stability and a wider processing temperature range.
Uses:Widely used in the automotive industry, electronic and electrical appliances, and mechanical equipment. Suitable for manufacturing gears, bearings, pipe valves, pump housings, lawn equipment, faucets, window frames, wash basins and other products. Also available as POM sheets and rods.
