Physical Properties:White granules with low relative density and excellent overall performance. It can be used in steam at 120°C, has low water absorption, excellent electrical insulation and good dimensional stability, but tends to stress cracking, which can be eliminated after modification. Glass transition temperature is 211°C, melting point is 268°C, and decomposition tends to occur when heated to 330°C. The higher the PPO content, the better the heat resistance, with heat deflection temperature up to above 190°C and brittle temperature of -170°C. It has good flame retardancy and self-extinguishing characteristics, showing medium flammability after blending with HIPS. Electrical properties are excellent over wide temperature and frequency ranges; dielectric constant and dielectric loss are among the smallest in engineering plastics and are almost unaffected by temperature and humidity, making it suitable for low, medium and high frequency electric fields. It has excellent mechanical strength, resistance to stress relaxation, creep, water and steam, and resistance to inorganic acids and alkalis. Resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons and oils is poor, with a tendency to swell or cause stress cracking. Light resistance is poor and discoloration occurs after prolonged sunlight exposure. The main drawback is poor melt fluidity, making processing and molding difficult.

Uses:In the electrical and electronic field, it maintains excellent electrical insulation under humid, loaded and high-temperature conditions, and is used for TV tuner plates, coil cores, microwave insulation parts, shielding sleeves, high-frequency printed circuit boards, high-voltage electronic components, and housings for TVs, computers, fax machines and copiers. In the automotive industry, it is suitable for instrument panels, window frames, shock absorbers and pump filter screens. In machinery, it is used for gears, bearings, pump impellers and blower fan blades. In the chemical field, it is used for pipes, valves, filter sheets and submersible pump components.
