Physical Properties:White, hard and brittle; when dropped on the ground it produces a metallic sound; light transmittance second only to acrylic; good water resistance and chemical stability; excellent flame retardance, non-flammable plastic. Moderate strength but high rigidity, brittle and prone to stress cracking; not resistant to benzene, gasoline and other organic solvents. Long-term service temperature up to 260°C; stable in air or nitrogen at 400°C. Density 1.6-1.9 g/cm³, mold shrinkage 0.15-0.25%.
Uses:Centered on excellent heat resistance, it also features friction-reducing self-lubrication, chemical stability, dimensional stability, flame retardance and electrical insulation. In chemical industry, it is used for reaction tanks, pipelines, valves, and chemical pumps for synthesizing, conveying and storing materials; in machinery, it can be used to make impellers, blades, gears, eccentric wheels, bearings, clutches and wear-resistant parts; in electronics and electrical field, it is used for transformer skeletons, high-frequency coil bobbins, plugs, sockets, wiring frames, contactor drums and various precision parts. It is also used for manufacturing PPS pipes and sheets, mainly in construction and household applications.
