Physical Properties:SEBS503 is a white or translucent granular thermoplastic elastomer with a density of about 0.91 g/cm³ and Shore A hardness of about 70, featuring low hardness, good flexibility and high resilience. It exhibits good weather resistance, aging resistance, chemical resistance and electrical insulation properties. It is soluble in toluene, cyclohexane and other organic solvents but insoluble in water. The service temperature range is approximately -60°C to 100°C.
Uses:It is mainly used as a base material for elastomer blends, suitable for coating materials, sealing strips, vibration-damping materials, road marking paints, reinforcement of other elastomers, and toughening modification of plastics. During processing, it can be blended with most plastics. Adding polyphenylene ether (PPO) improves heat resistance, mechanical strength, rigidity, and surface smoothness, while adding an α-methylstyrene-acrylonitrile copolymer provides a non-stick surface. The formulation can be adjusted according to the performance requirements of the final product.
