Physical Properties:Polyphenylene oxide is an amber transparent or translucent thermoplastic resin with a density of about 1.04~1.06 g/cm³, low water absorption, and excellent dimensional stability. It exhibits outstanding thermal stability with a heat deflection temperature of 170~190°C (1.8MPa) and a wide long-term service temperature range. It has excellent electrical insulation, low dielectric constant and dissipation factor, and good chemical resistance, though not resistant to strong acids and some organic solvents.
Uses:Mainly used in electronics, electrical appliances, automotive, and machinery industries for manufacturing precision gears, bearings, pump impellers, wiring terminals, relay housings, coil bobbins, and other structural or insulating parts requiring high heat resistance.
