Physical Properties:SimpSil P-SAX is based on a highly crosslinked quaternized polyvinyl alcohol matrix, offering excellent hydrophilicity, strong anion-exchange capacity, and high mechanical strength. The quaternary ammonium functional groups provide stable anion-exchange sites, while the polyvinyl alcohol backbone exhibits good affinity for polar compounds. It has a wide pH tolerance range of pH 3–12, adaptable to various mobile phase conditions. Under alkaline mobile phase conditions, glyphosate carries a negative charge and interacts strongly with the stationary phase, achieving effective retention and selective separation without pre- or post-column derivatization.
Uses:Compliant with GB 2 (National Food Safety Standard for Determination of Glyphosate and Other Four Pesticides and Their Metabolite Residues in Plant-derived Foods by Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry), this column is used for LC-MS/MS analysis of glyphosate, glufosinate, N-acetyl glufosinate, and 3-methylphosphinicopropionic acid (MPPA) in plant-derived foods such as fruits (apples, citrus, etc.), vegetables (leafy vegetables, root vegetables, etc.), cereals (rice, wheat, etc.), and tea.
