Physical Properties:It has excellent impact strength, so high that it can even be used for bulletproof materials. Its transparency is comparable to glass, with visible light transmittance of 85%~90% for common transparent grades. It offers high dimensional precision, low mold shrinkage, and excellent dimensional stability of molded parts. Good heat resistance allows use over a wide temperature range from -100℃ to +135℃. It is self-extinguishing; general grades without flame retardants can achieve UL 94 V-2 flame retardancy. It also has excellent electrical properties such as high breakdown voltage. It is not resistant to strong alkalis and some organic solvents.
Uses:Widely used in construction, electrical and electronic, general machinery, automotive, sheet, and office equipment fields. In particular, it is widely used in the optical disc field (CD, DVD, Blu-ray disc) as a classic substrate material.
