Physical Properties:TPV201-87 is a thermoplastic vulcanizate with polypropylene (PP) as the continuous phase and crosslinked EPDM rubber as the dispersed phase. It has a density of 0.90~0.97 g/cm³, excellent weatherability, high-temperature resistance and fatigue resistance, with a long-term service temperature up to 135°C. Due to the crosslinked rubber particle phase, it offers better solvent and oil resistance than ordinary thermoplastic elastomers, as well as good flexibility, resilience and low compression set.
Uses:Widely used in sealing products such as building and automotive weatherstrips and gaskets; also applied in soft-touch parts like handles and grips, as well as casters, bumpers, wire and cable sheathing, hoses and other impact-resistant and anti-vibration applications. It can also be used as a modifier to improve the toughness and impact strength of plastics.
