Physical Properties:This instrument uses a 254 nm ultraviolet radiation system, equipped with an ultraviolet energy programming system and a time integrator, which continuously monitors the UV exposure and automatically stops irradiation when the absorbed energy reaches the preset value. It features a stainless steel UV exposure chamber, a drawer-type irradiation system, UV-blocking viewing window, and safety door lock. Settings are retained after power-off, and a Chinese LCD display and touch keypad are provided. The irradiation area is 88 cm², and the maximum energy reaches 120 mJ/cm².
Uses:It is mainly used for crosslinking nucleic acids to hybridization membranes. It can also be used for DNA cleavage in agarose gels, RecA mutant screening, partial restriction enzyme digestion induced by pyrimidine dimer formation, UV sterilization to eliminate PCR contamination, as well as ultraviolet sterilization and polymer UV treatment.
