Uses:10-Undecenoic acid is mainly used as an organic synthesis intermediate for the production of fragrances, plasticizers, surfactants and pharmaceuticals. It is an important starting material for the synthesis of nylon-11. In the pharmaceutical industry, its zinc salt (zinc undecylenate) is widely used to treat fungal skin infections.
