Physical Properties:White crystalline powder, soluble in water forming a weakly acidic solution, insoluble in ethanol and other organic solvents. Loses part of its crystal water when heated to 90°C, and decomposes to molybdenum oxide at higher temperatures.
Uses:Mainly used in the production of high-purity molybdenum powder, molybdenum wire, molybdenum sheet and other molybdenum products, as well as a petroleum chemical catalyst, ceramic pigment and trace element fertilizer. In agriculture, it is applied as a molybdenum fertilizer to promote nitrogen fixation by legume root nodules and enhance protein synthesis in crops, significantly increasing yields of soybeans, peanuts, rapeseed and other crops.
