- 白色粉末，晶型为勃姆石，粒径D50约2微米，质地较软，分散性好。具有优异的绝缘性、化学与电化学稳定性及耐热性，常温下化学性质稳定，不易吸潮。受热到一定温度时开始吸热分解放出结晶水，分解时只放出水蒸气，不产生有毒可燃气体，同时具备消烟功能。折光率与聚酯树脂接近。

Physical Properties:White powder with boehmite crystal phase, particle size D50 of approximately 2 μm, relatively soft texture and good dispersibility. It exhibits excellent insulation performance, chemical and electrochemical stability, and heat resistance. It is chemically stable at room temperature and not prone to moisture absorption. When heated to a certain temperature, it starts to decompose endothermically, releasing crystal water in the form of water vapor only, without generating toxic or flammable gases, and provides smoke suppression. Its refractive index is close to that of polyester resin.
Uses:It is mainly used as ceramic coating material for lithium battery separators and electrode edge coatings, significantly improving the thermal stability of the separator and battery safety at low coating thickness while enhancing rate capability and cycling performance. It also serves as an inorganic flame-retardant synergist for plastics and polymers such as wire, cable and high-temperature nylon, and is used as filler in artificial marble, agate and specialty paper. Additionally, γ-Al2O3 obtained by high-temperature calcination of boehmite exhibits higher catalytic activity and selectivity, commonly used as catalysts and catalyst supports.
