Physical Properties:Light yellow to orange-red crystals or powder with a hydrogen sulfide odor. Readily soluble in water, forming an alkaline solution. Decomposes in acids to release hydrogen sulfide gas. Insoluble in ethanol. Easily deliquescent in moist air and decomposes upon heating.
Uses:Mainly used as an agricultural fungicide and acaricide for controlling diseases of fruit trees, cotton, and other crops, as well as pests such as red spiders. In the electroplating industry, it is used as a purifying agent for nickel plating electrolyte; it is also used in leather unhairing and industrial wastewater treatment.
