Soluble in water, alcohols, ethers and other organic solvents; slightly soluble in alkanes. Strongly basic, readily absorbs carbon dioxide from air.
Uses:Used as an efficient trimerization catalyst in the production of rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foams, improving thermal stability and flame retardancy of the foams. Widely applied in insulation boards, spray rigid foam, molded rigid foam and other fields. Also used in microcellular polyurethane elastomers and high-resilience foam production, as well as an organic synthesis intermediate.
