Physical Properties:Colorless to light yellow transparent liquid at room temperature (30% aqueous solution); miscible with water and organic solvents such as ethanol; density of 30% aqueous solution is approx. 0.96 g/cm³. It exhibits amphoteric surfactant properties: cationic in acidic media and nonionic in alkaline media, with low skin irritation and excellent foam boosting and stabilizing performance.
Uses:Used as a foam booster, conditioner, thickener and antistatic agent in shampoos, liquid detergents and foam baths; also used as an intermediate for the synthesis of amphoteric surfactants.
