Physical Properties:Light yellow to reddish-brown transparent liquid, readily soluble in water. Density (20°C) approximately 1.08–1.20 g/cm³, pH (1% aqueous solution) about 2–3 (unneutralized form). It has excellent calcium/magnesium chelating ability and high temperature resistance, and exhibits strong inhibition against calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and calcium phosphate scales.
Uses:Mainly used as a scale inhibitor/dispersant in circulating cooling water, boiler water, oilfield injection water, and reverse osmosis systems. It effectively prevents the deposition of scales such as calcium carbonate and barium sulfate on heat exchange equipment and pipeline surfaces, while dispersing iron oxide, slime, and suspended solids. It can be formulated into water stabilizers or used alone.
