Physical Properties:Pure product is a colorless transparent liquid, while industrial product is a light yellow transparent liquid with an amine odor. Density 0.896-0.902 g/cm³ (20°C), refractive index 1.4173 (25°C), boiling point 125-133°C, flash point 46.1-48.4°C, melting point -25°C. Soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform, benzene and other organic solvents. It gradually turns yellow upon prolonged storage; discoloration accelerates under direct sunlight or atmospheric storage. Vigorous shaking may cause temporary turbidity, which clears naturally after several hours.
Uses:Used as an efficient polymerization inhibitor and antioxidant, suitable for inhibiting polymerization during storage and processing of olefins and dienes. Also functions as a metal extractant and organic synthesis intermediate.
