Physical Properties:Light yellow to colorless viscous liquid, soluble in water, insoluble in organic solvents. Density (20°C) approx. 1.05~1.15 g/cm³, pH of 1% aqueous solution approx. 2~4. Good thermal stability and acid/alkali resistance.
Uses:Used as a scale inhibitor and dispersant in industrial circulating cooling water systems, oilfield water injection, and boiler water treatment. Effectively prevents formation of calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and calcium phosphate scales, and exhibits excellent dispersing performance for iron oxide and sludge. Also commonly used in reverse osmosis membrane antiscalant formulations.
