Slightly soluble in water, soluble in acetone, ethanol, xylene and various other organic solvents. Stable in acidic media, readily decomposed under alkaline conditions.
Uses:Profenofos is a broad-spectrum organophosphate insecticide with contact and stomach action, lacking systemic activity but possessing strong penetrating properties. It is mainly used to control lepidopteran pests, aphids, mites and whiteflies on cotton, rice, vegetables and fruit trees, showing good efficacy against both chewing and piercing-sucking mouthpart pests.
