Soluble in acetone, benzene, ethyl acetate, carbon tetrachloride and other organic solvents; insoluble in water; hydrolyzes in acidic and alkaline solutions.
Uses:It is suitable for phenolic resin, epoxy resin, PVC, polystyrene, polyurethane, nylon and rubber systems such as EPDM, NBR, SBR, natural rubber and neoprene, promoting coupling between inorganic fillers such as silica and polymers to improve the physical and mechanical properties of finished products. In coatings and electronic material sealants, it is used to treat inorganic fillers such as silica and carbon black, functioning as an activator, coupling agent, crosslinking agent and reinforcing agent in polymers. It can also be used as a metal surface rust inhibitor to improve corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and adhesion to polymer materials.
