Physical Properties:Yellow to yellowish-orange powder; insoluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, acetone and other organic solvents; dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a yellow color; can be reduced to a leuco compound by sodium hydrosulfite under alkaline conditions. Melting point approximately 350°C (decomposes).
Uses:Mainly used for dyeing and printing of cotton, hemp and other cellulosic fibers, offering excellent light fastness, washing fastness and chlorine resistance. It is also used for mass coloration of synthetic fibers such as vinylon and polyester, as well as for coloring high-grade coatings and plastics.
