Aqueous solutions are non-ionic and stable over a wide pH range. Average molecular weight approx. 250.34 (per structural unit).
Uses:Primarily used as a film-forming agent, thickener and suspension stabilizer in cosmetics and personal care products, suitable for hair gels, styling mousses, and skin care lotions. In pharmaceutical formulations, it serves as a binder and film-forming material for sustained-release coatings and transdermal drug delivery systems. Also used as a dispersant and rheology modifier in textile and coating industries.
