Aqueous solution is alkaline, exhibiting reducing properties; heating can decompose it into sodium carbonate and carbon monoxide.
Uses:Mainly used as a raw material in the production of oxalic acid and oxalates, and as a mordant and bleaching agent in the textile and dyeing industry. It is applied in metal surface treatment for rust removal and cleaning, and used as a reference reagent in chemical analysis.
