This compound exhibits keto-enol tautomerism, and the ratio of tautomers changes under acidic or basic conditions. It has good thermal stability but may decompose at high temperatures.
Uses:Mainly used in organic synthesis and as a pharmaceutical intermediate. In the pharmaceutical field, it can be used to synthesize biologically active pyrimidinone derivatives, antibacterial drugs and antiviral drugs. It is also an intermediate in the synthesis of insecticides and herbicides in agrochemistry, and can be used in the design of functional molecules in materials science.
