Uses:Artemisinin is a sesquiterpene lactone antimalarial drug containing a peroxide group, with strong killing effect on Plasmodium parasites. It is used for the treatment of malaria, especially chloroquine-resistant falciparum malaria. It is also used as an intermediate in drug synthesis and as a research reagent.
