Gradually decomposes above 150 °C in an inert atmosphere.
Uses:Used as a palladium(II) catalyst precursor in organic synthesis, widely applied in cross-coupling reactions, carbonylation reactions and C–H bond activation reactions. The acetonitrile ligands are readily displaced and the complex possesses high coordination unsaturation, making it suitable for homogeneous catalysis and catalyst screening. It is also used for the preparation of supported palladium catalysts and organometallic complex intermediates.
